Band History
"Once upon a time..."

From 2000-2003
From 2004-2005

In 2006, 4 The Blues reached Version 4 - we've acquired the services of accomplished keyboardist Grant Mathers and reached a significant milestone in the band's history. The story so far...

2000-2003
The first incarnation of the band featured Ian Noyce (Harmonica) and Dave Newton (Bass Guitar) and was formed in late 2000.

2004-2005
During 2004 the band took an extended recess to restructure with Daryl's son, Joe Eastcott, joining on Bass and songwriting duties, contributing to our original material.

Keyboardist Peter Ruyg joined in July of 2004 to replace Ian Noyce and the band embarked upon the production of its first album "I Am a Tree" [more information...]

2006- Present
Peter Ruyg was replaced by Grant Mathers on keyboards in March 2006 and this finalises the current line-up.

Since Grant's arrival we've focussed on adding even more original material to compliment our repertoire of obscure standards and revitalised covers.
